What began more than 30 years ago in Midland, Texas as Christmas in April, Rebuilding Together addressed the minor home repair needs of single women.  It has since grown to facilitate major and minor home repairs to thousands of low-income homeowners year-round.

Rebuilding Together is a non-profit organization that has worked for over 30 years to provide repairs and handicap accessibility to homes owned by low-income elderly, disabled, and families with small children.  Rebuilding Together is the nation's largest volunteer home repair organization, with over 200 affiliates.  The Greater Dallas area has received the support of Rebuilding Together since the 2002 inception of the local affiliate.

Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas has welcomed three AmeriCorps VISTA volunteers and two Americorps CapacityCorps volunteers to the office this fall.  With this growth, we have raised our yearly goal of assisting 20 homes to 50.
