Rebuilding Together Greater Dallas is thankful for the thousands of volunteers who help us carry out our mission by donating their time and skills to help homeowners in need. We have volunteer opportunities for large or small groups. Here are a few of our key volunteer roles:
Safe at Home Volunteers
The Safe at Home Program is a year-round maintenance program that provides homeowners with critical, mission focused home repairs. Safe at Home volunteer teams will complete small-scope, technical home repairs that require experience in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, or other repair skills. Safe at Home volunteers commit to completing four or more projects per year, on their schedule. For more information, contact John Hartigan at firstname.lastname@example.org or 972-245-6900.
Volunteer Project Managers
Volunteer Project Managers lead projects for sponsor groups who may not have a skilled volunteer to lead their project. These volunteers are usually skilled in home repairs and have experience with volunteer and project management. This opportunity is year round and can accommodate a flexible schedule. For more information, contact John Hartigan or Bob Pirtle at email@example.com.
Project Day Volunteers
Project volunteers are where the rubber meets the road! We have roughly 2,000 people volunteer with us every year. Typically, these volunteers are part of a larger group that provides the sponsorship funding for a RTGD project. If your employer, church, association, or club is interested in participating in: National Rebuilding Day, Operation Freedom, Homes4Heroes or Team Build programs, please contact John Hartigan at firstname.lastname@example.org or 972-245-6900.
